The Addison: a sweet guesthouse

Located in the historic town of Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island, Florida, The Addison is a boutique guesthouse close to restaurants, art galleries and boutiques. The Addison, originally a private home built in 1876, is a B&B with three buildings, a central courtyard with large oak trees and a fountain.

The historic building still has its original timber floor, 5 fireplaces, the main dining room, the kitchen and the other two houses, that were built in 1996, were made with the original style as the main house. The innkeepers Shannon and Bob love to take care of their guests and create an amazing atmosphere for them. The inn offers 14 charming rooms with hardwood floor, tall windows, elegant furniture, four-poster beds, luxury elements and some of the rooms have fireplace and terrace.

Breakfast, served on the courtyard veranda, is made from fresh ingredients, orange juice and muffins baked in house. Also the Happy Hour, with a selection of wines, biers and side orders of hummus, bruschetta or guacamole, is served on the veranda. Guests can relax on the beautiful beaches of the island, go on a sailing cruise or enjoy the restaurants, cafes or boutiques of Fernandina Beach.
