Algarvian Casa Mãe

A traditional Portuguese complex set inside the city walls of Lagos, Portugal and just 5 minutes from the beach, Casa Mãe is an ideal base to enjoy and discover Western Algarve. The different houses are on one of the highest points of Lagos, overlooking the old city and the terraced vegetable farm.

The main “casa” combines vintage Portuguese decors with modern and contemporary furniture. On the ground  floor is the quiet living room and the Orta restaurant with home made fresh and healthy dishes. Outside there is a triangle shaped pool where to enjoy sun and the Loja concept store to buy craft pieces from Portuguese designers and artisans.

The available 30 rooms with antique ceiling and French balconies, are all decorated with Portuguese antiquities, luxury fabrics and contemporary furniture. There are also 3 cabanas with private patios, hammocks and outdoor showers, all with Algarvian and contemporary furnishing.

Furthermore the complex has a new modern building called Jogo da bola, with façade of wooden panels, handmade terracotta floors and spacious rooms with terraces or verandas.

Casa Mãe proposes different workshops like cooking, farm, pottery or arranging flowers classes. The hotel also offers outdoor activities like yoga, surf, paddling or climbing.
