A hidden gem: Memmo Alfama hotel

A hidden treasure set in Alfama, one of the most historical districts of Lisbon, (Portugal), Memmo Alfama is a late nineteenth century building with an ancient courtyard. The main architectural goal of the restoration was to keep the original facades and to maintain the harmony with the surrounding traditional colourful houses. One of the exterior walls of the boutique hotel has original murals from the renowned Portuguese street artist Alexandre Farto (aka Vhils).

Memmo Alfama, adult-only hotel, has an authentic and contemporary style and it is the perfect getaway for a quiet break or to discover picturesque Lisbon. The 42 rooms overlooking the river Tagus are divided in different categories: Alfama, Terrace, Patio, Mansard, Mansard superior and Mansard Junior Suite.

On the ground floor guests can borrow a book from the library or enjoy authentic Portuguese food and wine. The terrace bar and (red) pool offer panoramic views of the city.
