Summertime at Ruschmeyer’s

Set in lakeside tree-covered areas in the village of Montauk, Long Island New York, Ruschmeyer’s is a seasonal guesthouse near the ocean, opened from May to the middle of September.

Originally built in 1952, the hotel was recently renovated and transformed into a modern stylish summer camp. The 19 cabin guestrooms (standard, deluxe and suites) have cedar-planked walls, simple wood furniture, Moroccan rugs and colourful textiles. Each room has a hammock chair for lounging, an outdoor area with grill and the suits have a living room with convertible daybed.

The restaurant at Ruschmeyer’s, with an internal and external spaces, serves a seafood menu made from fresh local ingredients. The Magic Garden, with giant oak trees, a tepee, Ping-Pong tables, wood tables and benches, is ideal to relax and have drink with some friends. This space can be also used for meetings, events or a romantic wedding.

Guests can enjoy different activities like bicycling, paddle boarding, surfing and yoga; during the night they can attend musical and theatrical performances or enjoy live & dance music at the Electric Eel Bar.
